What are the rules for NorCalHoops.Net Tournaments?
Rules can be found on our RULES & REGULATIONS page.
How Do I Determine In Which Competitive Division I Should Enter My Team?
If
you are a new team and have not yet played in a NorCalHoops.Net
tournament, you should register in at least the COMPETITIVE division.
Teams are not allowed to begin at the NOVICE level (you have to earn
the right to "play down"). If you are a first time team, it will be up
to the tournament director to place your team in the appropriate
division. Teams may be moved up based on reputation or input from other
tournament promoters.
What Is A Grade Exception Player?
A
player that is OLDER than the minimum age on the age determination date
(Sept 1st of a given year), but still meets the grade determination
date (March 1st of a given year), is considered a Grade Exception.
Players who where held back a year in school can often times be a grade
exception.
How Do I Determine If A Player Is A Grade Exception?
We suggest using the Age / Grade calculator provided by AAU. You can access the calculator at THIS LINK.
How Many Grade Exception Players Are Allowed On A Team?
Three, with no exceptions.
Can Girls Play on Boys AAU Basketball Teams?
